Fenrir Fang Viking Sword – 12Cr Stainless Steel Hand Forged Blade with Wolf Engraving & Leather-Wrapped Wooden Scabbard

About This Knife

Unleash the spirit of the Norse warrior with the Fenrir Fang Viking Sword — a striking hand-and-a-half blade inspired by ancient Scandinavian legend and forged for both display and dedicated collectors.

The blade is crafted from durable 12Cr stainless steel, featuring a sharp double-fuller (blood groove) design and a hand-etched wolf head motif near the guard, symbolizing strength, loyalty, and the untamed wild of Norse mythology. The blade measures approximately 30 inches, delivering an imposing full-length presence.

The handle, approximately 9 inches, is built on a solid wood core and wrapped in a traditional diamond-pattern cord grip, offering a firm, comfortable hold reminiscent of authentic battle-ready swords. A finely detailed metal guard and pommel complete the historic aesthetic.

Housed in a unique, stylish wooden scabbard finished with genuine leather coating, the sheath is hand-engraved with intricate Celtic/Norse knotwork patterns, making it as much a piece of art as it is a weapon replica. Reinforced metal fittings and clasps add both durability and old-world charm.

Whether displayed on a wall mount, added to a themed collection, or gifted to a history and fantasy enthusiast, the Fenrir Fang Viking Sword stands out as a true statement piece.

Care & Maintenance

Cleaning & Storage
Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap. Never place a high-carbon or Damascus steel blade in a dishwasher. Dry immediately with a soft cloth. Store in a dry environment, ideally out of the leather sheath for long-term storage to prevent moisture retention.
Oiling the Blade
High-carbon steels will naturally patina over time, which adds character and protection. To prevent rust, apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil or camellia oil after every use. For wood handles, occasional treatment with beeswax or boiled linseed oil will preserve the lustre.
Sharpening
Maintain the edge between uses with a ceramic honing rod. When it is time to sharpen, we recommend Japanese water stones (1000/3000 grit) maintained at a 15-20 degree angle per side. Avoid pull-through carbide sharpeners, as they remove too much steel and can chip the hard edge.
