About This Knife

Introducing the Gilded Vine — an exquisite folding knife featuring an approximately 4-inch 12Cr stainless steel blade, hand-engraved with an intricate scrollwork and floral vine pattern that flows seamlessly from the blade onto the handle. This level of detailed hand engraving showcases true old-world artistry, transforming a functional blade into a genuine work of art.

The approximately 4.5-inch handle is crafted from solid brass, fully hand-engraved on both sides with matching ornate scroll and leaf motifs, polished to a warm golden shine. The smooth folding mechanism and comfortable, curved profile make it easy to carry and a pleasure to handle, while the weighty brass construction gives it a substantial, premium feel.

Each Gilded Vine knife comes with a uniquely styled leather sheath, offering safe and elegant storage whether carried daily or displayed as part of a collection.

Whether you're a collector of fine hand-engraved blades, searching for a distinguished everyday carry piece, or looking for a truly special gift, the Gilded Vine combines meticulous craftsmanship with timeless elegance in every detail.

Care & Maintenance

Cleaning & Storage
Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap. Never place a high-carbon or Damascus steel blade in a dishwasher. Dry immediately with a soft cloth. Store in a dry environment, ideally out of the leather sheath for long-term storage to prevent moisture retention.
Oiling the Blade
High-carbon steels will naturally patina over time, which adds character and protection. To prevent rust, apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil or camellia oil after every use. For wood handles, occasional treatment with beeswax or boiled linseed oil will preserve the lustre.
Sharpening
Maintain the edge between uses with a ceramic honing rod. When it is time to sharpen, we recommend Japanese water stones (1000/3000 grit) maintained at a 15-20 degree angle per side. Avoid pull-through carbide sharpeners, as they remove too much steel and can chip the hard edge.
