About This Knife

Introducing the Forge Master Set — a complete collection of 5 handmade kitchen knives built for serious home cooks and professional chefs alike. Each blade is crafted from premium 440C stainless steel, delivering excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and a razor-sharp cutting performance that holds up to daily kitchen demands.

This versatile set includes blades ranging from 5 to 8 inches, covering every kitchen task — from delicate slicing and precision trimming to heavy-duty chopping and cleaving through bone and vegetables alike. Each knife features a 5-inch ergonomic handle, crafted from a combination of natural wood and durable micarta, offering a secure, comfortable grip that stays solid even during extended use.

Every blade is hand-finished with a hammered texture along the spine, giving each piece a rustic, artisanal character while maintaining top-tier functionality. The set comes neatly organized in a soft leather roll bag, complete with individual knife slots and secure snap closures — perfect for safe storage, easy transport, or gifting.

Care & Maintenance

Cleaning & Storage
Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap. Never place a high-carbon or Damascus steel blade in a dishwasher. Dry immediately with a soft cloth. Store in a dry environment, ideally out of the leather sheath for long-term storage to prevent moisture retention.
Oiling the Blade
High-carbon steels will naturally patina over time, which adds character and protection. To prevent rust, apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil or camellia oil after every use. For wood handles, occasional treatment with beeswax or boiled linseed oil will preserve the lustre.
Sharpening
Maintain the edge between uses with a ceramic honing rod. When it is time to sharpen, we recommend Japanese water stones (1000/3000 grit) maintained at a 15-20 degree angle per side. Avoid pull-through carbide sharpeners, as they remove too much steel and can chip the hard edge.
