About This Knife

Introducing the Honeycomb Reaper Set — a bold, striking 7-piece collection of handmade kitchen knives, made from premium black coated J2 steel finished in a deep black coating for a sleek, tactical-inspired look.

Each knife features a full-tang design with an approximately 5-inch handle made from vibrant honeycomb-pattern resin, blending warm amber and gold tones for a handle that's as eye-catching as the blackened blade it holds. Secure pins and a comfortable, textured grip make each knife easy to control through extended prep work.

The set includes seven versatile blade sizes to cover every kitchen task:

  • 4-inch Paring Knife
  • 6-inch Utility Knife
  • 8-inch Chef's Knife
  • 8-inch Fillet
  • 10-inch Chef's Knife/Slicer
  • 7-inch Santoku
  • 8-inch Bowie/Kitchen Knife

Every blade is hand-finished with a black protective coating over the layered J2, offering both a distinctive appearance and added corrosion resistance. The complete set comes in a soft, roll-up leather case with individual knife slots and secure snap closures, making storage and transport simple and organized.

Whether you're building a standout kitchen collection or looking for a unique gift for a culinary enthusiast, the Honeycomb Reaper Set combines bold aesthetics with a complete, professional-grade blade lineup.

Care & Maintenance

Cleaning & Storage
Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap. Never place a high-carbon or Damascus steel blade in a dishwasher. Dry immediately with a soft cloth. Store in a dry environment, ideally out of the leather sheath for long-term storage to prevent moisture retention.
Oiling the Blade
High-carbon steels will naturally patina over time, which adds character and protection. To prevent rust, apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil or camellia oil after every use. For wood handles, occasional treatment with beeswax or boiled linseed oil will preserve the lustre.
Sharpening
Maintain the edge between uses with a ceramic honing rod. When it is time to sharpen, we recommend Japanese water stones (1000/3000 grit) maintained at a 15-20 degree angle per side. Avoid pull-through carbide sharpeners, as they remove too much steel and can chip the hard edge.
