About This Knife

Introducing the Shadow Fang — a sleek, purpose-built skinner knife made from durable 12Cr stainless steel, featuring an approximately 5-inch drop-point blade with a razor-sharp cutting edge and a file-worked spine for added grip and control.

The approximately 5-inch handle is crafted from rugged black G10 micarta, offering a secure, all-weather grip that performs reliably in wet or demanding conditions. Precision pins secure the full-tang construction, while the smooth, ergonomic shape provides comfortable control whether skinning, slicing, or performing detail work.

Each Shadow Fang knife comes with a uniquely styled black leather sheath, featuring bold zigzag stitching detail and a secure snap closure, offering safe, rugged protection for the blade wherever you carry it.

Whether you're a hunter, outdoorsman, or collector who appreciates clean, functional design, the Shadow Fang combines dependable 12Cr steel performance with a sleek, all-black aesthetic in one practical package.

Care & Maintenance

Cleaning & Storage
Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap. Never place a high-carbon or Damascus steel blade in a dishwasher. Dry immediately with a soft cloth. Store in a dry environment, ideally out of the leather sheath for long-term storage to prevent moisture retention.
Oiling the Blade
High-carbon steels will naturally patina over time, which adds character and protection. To prevent rust, apply a light coat of food-safe mineral oil or camellia oil after every use. For wood handles, occasional treatment with beeswax or boiled linseed oil will preserve the lustre.
Sharpening
Maintain the edge between uses with a ceramic honing rod. When it is time to sharpen, we recommend Japanese water stones (1000/3000 grit) maintained at a 15-20 degree angle per side. Avoid pull-through carbide sharpeners, as they remove too much steel and can chip the hard edge.
