Swords
Double edged Viking swords with fullered blades and tooled leather scabbards.
About Swords
A Viking sword is defined by its blade: broad, double edged, and cut with a fuller down most of its length. The fuller is not decoration. It takes weight out of the middle of the blade without weakening the edges, which is what makes a sword this size something you can actually hold out at arm's length.
We build these in 12Cr stainless and hand forged Damascus steel, with the guard, grip and pommel fitted to each blade individually. The grips are wrapped in leather over a full tang, sized so the sword can be held in one hand or two. The heavy lobed pommel sits behind your hand as a counterweight.
Most come with a scabbard built the traditional way, a wooden core covered in leather and tooled with Norse knotwork, and a wooden presentation box.
They are bought for display, for collections and for re-enactment. Each one differs from the last in the steel pattern and the grain of the wood.
