Bowie Knives

A bowie is a big knife and it has to be built like one. These carry full tang blades forged by hand in Damascus and high carbon steel, with the tang running the whole length of the handle so there is nothing to work loose under hard use. Blade lengths generally sit between eight and ten inches.

The clip point is what makes the profile: a long belly for cutting and a fine tip for detail work. Several have a file worked spine and a guard for grip control.

Handles are fitted in bone, stag horn and wood, with bolsters and spacers chosen to suit each blade. Every bowie ships with a leather sheath made for that knife. They are bought as much for display and collecting as for hunting and camp use.
